On the top right there is a little icon which allows viewers to listen to her music while browsing the website which I feel is a really effective way of keeping people looking on the site. The background of the website are close ups of Katy some of which are images from her album, as you scroll down the page the pictures gradually change in the background but you can always see Katy as you scroll down.
There is promotions of her music all throughout the homepage with the hash tag of her single 'this is how we do' and telling fans to buy the new album. As you get to the bottom of the page there are tweets shown that Katy has made which is promoting her social media and there is also another promotion opportunity for her world tour. The style of the website is very girly and you can see the relation to the album which Is very important the writing is very clear and simple for the audience to read.
On the top right of the page there are links to all of Katy's social media sites such as instagram and twitter, there is also the menu placed next to it so the fans can easily navigate around the site, the menu includes news, music, video, events, images, updates and store. The news provides fans with information about what she has been nominated for, where she will be performing etc. The music, video and events all include what you would expect but what is unique about the site is that there is an images tab which provide fans with backstage images of all the music videos she has done. The site also allows fans to receive updates via email.
The link to go to the store takes you onto a separate page but the style is still continuous and very girly, all the merchandise being sold are in relation to her new album such as clothing, music and accessories.
