Influential Websites

As soon as you click on Ariana's website before you can scroll and view the site a pop up of her new music video is put on the screen giving the opportunity for the reader to view it before entering the site. From this I can see that they are focused on promotion.



 On the home screen there is a large picture of the artist just placed under the navigation bar, the large image is the cover of the most recent album she has released 'My Everything' again focusing on promotion it also offers tabs to click on to download the album from iTunes or android.  I like the idea of using the album cover on the website as the fans notice it as soon as they click on the site.

As you scroll down we see a long list of all of her tours coming up dating all the down until June, they also have a ticket tab along side  the tour date which is linked to a ticket site. It then shows the latest news surrounding Ariana including her recent interviews on the television and her most recent performances. Below that her music section then appears which allows the fans to listen to every tack off of her album, it then offers videos of behind the scenes and her past music videos. At the bottom of the page are her most recent tweets showing tweets to fans and what she is getting up to.

The tabs at the top allow fans to sign in or register to the site, they offer links to her social media sites such as twitter, Facebook and YouTube.  The tabs take you to each section on the home page so they don't lead to another page, the store and tours tab are the only ones that lead you to another page. The merchandise the website offers are the artists most recent album offering the original and the deluxe album, it also offers a chance to buy bundles that come with music and a t-shirt.
